Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge

Hello crafty friends! I have another card using the new Build-A-Lamb die set for LeAnne's Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge at The Paper Players. I used flowers, animal and sentiment from the diagonal line of the grid. I'm disappointed in the muddy blending that shows in my scalloped diamond die. I think my blending brush had some colors in the bristles that didn't get cleaned properly. Note to self...do better next time - haha!

STAMPS: Just Sentiments: Easter (Papertrey Ink).
INK: Harvest Gold, Bright Buttercup, Sweet Blush, Pale Peony, Raspberry Fizz, Limeade Ice, New Leaf, Vintage Jadeite, Blueberry Sky, Smokey Shadow (PTI); Versafine Clair Nocturne.
PAPER: Stamper's Select White, Mint Julep (PTI).
DIES: Build-A-Lamb, Love to Layer: Scalloped Diamonds, Cover Plate: Quilted, Psalm Reflections: October (PTI); Stitched Sentiment Strips (My Favorite Things).
OTHER: Enamel dots.

That's a wrap for today. Thanks for stopping by!  ~Wanda

Hello Friday! It's a beautiful spring day...finally...after the winds decided to subside! We'll take temps in upper 60's! While the grands were staying with us for the last day of their spring break week, I whipped up this postage collage card for two challenges:

Just Add Ink

I had the Playful Patterns stamp/die set out from a recent project, so when I saw the new Just Add Ink challenge...I used the set again for two of the three elements: rainbows and shimmer!  A shock for me to not choose flowers - haha! My daughter sends quite a few baby cards out to nurses she supervises, so I needed to replenish my baby supply.

I sprayed the rainbow and clouds with a heavy dose of Sheer Shimmer "Sparkle" craft spray and some of the spray also covered the background. So...the shimmer is definitely present! The "baby" sentiment and the rainbow/clouds are popped up with foam tape for added dimension.

STAMPS: Playful Patterns (Papertrey Ink).
INK: Raspberry Bliss, Rocky Slope, Key Lime, Waterfall, Turquoise (Pinkfresh Studio).
PAPER: Stamper's Select White, Bitty Big: Harvest Gold (PTI).
DIES: Playful Patterns, Love to Layer: Rectangles (PTI).
OTHER: Sheer Shimmer craft spray "Sparkle" (Imagine).

Wishing you a fabulous Friday!  ~Wanda

Freshly Made Sketches

Good Thursday morning! I loved Karren's new sketch over on the Freshly Made Sketches blog and had to play along using some bright patterned papers and the new Build-A-Lamb die set just released from Papertrey Ink. I even found an Easter sentiment that fits perfectly on the lamb!

All of the flowers, leaves and lamb pieces were die cut from white paper then color blended.

STAMPS: Just Sentiments: Easter (Papertrey Ink).
INK: Limeade Ice, Spring Moss, Harvest Gold, Bright Buttercup, Sweet Blush, Pale Peony, Lovely Lady, Soft Stone, True Black (PTI); Versafine Clair Nocturne.
PAPER: Stamper's Select White (PTI); Cute & Crafty 6x6 pad by Doodlebug Design Inc.
DIES: Build-A-Lamb, Love to Layer: Scalloped Circles (PTI); Banner Flags STAX Die-Namics (My Favorite Things).
OTHER: Enamel dots.

That's it for now. Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting!  ~Wanda

Word Art Wednesday - Ps. 147:11

Good Wednesday friends! There's a new Word Art Wednesday challenge happening with an inspiration verse from Psalm 147:11. Check out Karen's devotional on the WAW website and play along with us! Feel free to use the sentiment posted or anything goes if you prefer that route. Pretty Pink Posh is our sponsor and you have a chance to win a $30 gift card if you get randomly chosen.

I was totally inspired by a beautiful card by Kelly Lunceford on the PTI website (see it HERE). I modified my version by keeping the extravagant frame entirely white and I did not layer the hearts. I sponged Sweet Blush ink around the edge of the heart and did layer it twice to add more dimension.

STAMPS: None (sentiment was printed from WAW site).
INK: Sweet Blush, Pale Peony, Lemon Tart, Limeade Ice, New Leaf (Papertrey Ink).
PAPER: Stamper's Select White (Papertrey Ink).
DIES: Into the Blooms: Wreath, Love to Layer: Rounded Hearts, Extravagant Floral Frames (Papertrey Ink).
OTHER: At the Bottom Stencil Collection (Papertrey Ink).

We'd love to see you in the throwdown gallery, so come play along!  ~Wanda

Freshly Made Sketches

Cecile has a wonderful new layout for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge! I stenciled with Fine Linen ink and a stencil from the Pro Stamper's Box: March from Papertrey Ink. I then splattered with Black Soot distress ink. I had the flowers and leaves in my leftover pile, so this was SOOO quick and easy to complete! The sentiment is from Altenew's Chocolate Flowers stamp set.

STAMPS: Chocolate Flowers (Altenew).
INK: Green Parakeet, New Leaf, Limeade Ice, Lemon Tart, Bright Buttercup, Summer Sunrise, Melon Berry, Orange Zest (Papertrey Ink); Versafine Clair Nocturne; Black Soot distress.
PAPER: Stamper's Select White (PTI).
DIES: Chocolate Flowers (Altenew); Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-Namics (My Favorite Things).
OTHER: Stencil from Pro Stampers Box: March.
